Grandi Langhe, an international event dedicated to wine professionals, reaches its fourth edition

Alba looks forward to welcoming wine buyers, journalists and professionals on 28th and 29th January for Grandi Langhe 2019, two days of events and tastings involving more than 250 wineries. This will be the first event of the year for the Italian wine industry.

Professionals are expected to arrive from Italy and all over the world, from the USA to China, Norway, Germany, Belgium and Russia. All of the wine producers involved will present their wines and will be at the disposal of visitors, offering their expertise and detailed knowledge of their products.

This year the event has taken on a more efficient format, running over two days instead of three days as it was in previous years, which will encourage the participation of a wider, more targeted audience. The choice of a single, prestigious location (Alba) also reduces travel, ensuring nobody has to miss any of this 48-hour long event.

The exhibition spaces will be divided up based on the area of origin of the producers. This geographic classification is designed to offer visitors an insight into the variety that enriches the production on these hills and an opportunity to fully understand the value of the geographical indications (MGA) of Barolo, Barbaresco, Roero and Diano, as well as highlighting the other wines of the territory.

It should be emphasized that even the decision to change the time of year of the event, two months earlier than the previous three editions (28th and 29th January instead of early spring), was made by the organizers to meet the needs of the industry. Wines will be presented at the beginning of the year, in order to offer valuable previews to professionals and journalists. Only Grandi Langhe offers such a complete and exclusive preview.
